What are your moving rates & costs?

What should I do to prepare for my residential move?

We first recommend decluttering your home to avoid moving items you no longer need, or, if you’ll be utilizing our residential junk removal service, then gather all items to be hauled away together as best you can. If you’re packing your home yourself, try to label all boxes with their contents and the room they’ll be placed in at your new home. If possible, create a clear pathway for our movers to enter and exit the home, so that we can move items in and out safely and more quickly.

What should I do on the day of my move to prepare?

While we love pets and children, make sure you have a plan to ensure they aren’t underfoot, for their safety and ours. Make sure that vehicles are removed from the driveway and garage if possible, to allow our moving trucks easy access and to speed up the moving process. Double-check for clear pathways and walkways for the movers to move items in and out of the house, to include looking for smaller tripping hazards, such as rugs that haven’t yet been removed. Lastly, consider packing an “Essentials Bag,” full of toiletries, medications, a change of clothing, etc., to avoid accidentally packing important items that you may not be able to readily access once the move gets underway.

What if an accident happens? Are you insured?

While we take every safety precaution possible for every move of any size whatsoever, we know that its still possible for an accident to happen. That’s why ECL Movers is fully licensed and insured, so that you can head into your move with the peace of mind that if something unlikely and unfortunate does happen, everyone is covered. We do strongly recommend following the above advice to minimize the possibility of accidents as much as possible.
